INTRODUCTION |

PACE is designed as a TRIPLE function application. It is an Access Control Environment suitable for HIGH SECURITY & RESTRICTED access whereby it ensures access only to authorized personnel. PACE is also Time Management Solution operating in organizations for their personnel Attendance & Time Management based on shifts operation or otherwise. Lastly, it is a simple payroll system whereby it produces personnel payroll on daily, weekly or monthly basis. All the three functions are integrated in PACE so that it seamlessly delivers pay checks and documents staff access by gathering information at Access Control Points. PACE's fully operational version is a one that operates in a wide area network (WAN) environment thereby monitoring and connecting various physical location that are administered centrally for access control, time management and payroll. Within this environment, PACE is connected either on a WAN or through modems to all remote locations and it fully ensures implementation or Enterprise Access Control Policies at each connected location. PACE does all this, without any requirement of remote computer even if the connectivity is not WAN. This makes PACE a cost effective and maintenance free
solution for implementation and smooth continued operation. FEATURES Apart from traditional Time & Attendance, PACE contributes to the smooth running of the company in other ways too. It can limit access to the buildings/areas to enhance security, both by individual employee and hour of the day. The objective could not only be as a security measure to keep out intruders but also to track employees within the workplace, most commonly for safety reasons where there are hazardous areas. Thus, only employees who are fully equipped and geared are allowed to access those areas. In large organizations, it provides up to date reports on who is on the premises so that no effort is wasted looking for colleagues who are off site on business. It can provide a roll call in the event of an emergency to assist in safe evacuation of all or part of the premises. Complex and flexible working arrangements are no problem. All the complications are handled within the software so both employer and employee can easily see employee balances with up to the minute accuracy. EC WORKING HOURS REGULATIONS A new development for European employers is their responsibility to manage employee's working hours in line with EC Directives. This not only restricts the hours that employees may work in a given period but also imposes record keeping regulations on employers putting the onus on them to prove that they have dealt properly with this issue. The above substantially increases the workload of Human Resources or Personnel divisions. If not carried out correctly, it puts employers at risk of severe penalties from the EC.
